Episode 124: Summer Break Babyyyy!! (solo episode- no I’m not pregnant)

Katelyn:

Hello, and welcome back to the show! It's going to be a quick episode today, I have a announcement that I want to make. And I am really excited to share this with you. 

And I want to be so transparent when I say that this is truly inspired action that I am taking in this moment. 

If you know me at all, or have worked with me as a client, or have been in this community, or have just kind of been hanging out from a distance, you've probably picked up on the fact that intuition and inspired action is one of my core values. 

I try to practice this every day, imperfectly of course. I strive to lead by example, around this, I try to instill this in anybody that I work with who is interested in learning the skill.

And I can honestly say, for 99% of my decisions, this has never steered me in the wrong direction. 

And one of the inspired actions that I am taking right now is to take a little summer break from the podcast. 

I'm feeling this for myself. I'm feeling this for our podcast family, the community that we're growing together. I don't know if you feel this at all. And I honestly would love to hear if this resonates with you at all (if you're even listening to this during the summer, you might be listening to this later on because you might have already chosen to take a break from social media or podcast or where you're wherever you get your content).

But effective today, July 12, we are going to be pressing a fun, restful, restorative summer pause on our show, and we will be back on September 20. 

And I am really looking forward to just creating space to take some time for myself personally, take some time for myself professionally to just reevaluate where we're going with the show and how I want to show. The conversations that I want to hold in this container together. What you want from the show. And how we're going to build this together. 

And it's challenging to do that when you are just going going going going without any resting or any break or intentional evaluation. 

I will not lie, this is edgy. For me, this feels uncomfortable. This definitely is not my automatic default to just say “hit pause and let's rest”. Even if I might want to do that it's not something that I am habitually programmed to do. 

But I know that that is what is best for our community and for myself as a leader in this community. And for all of the amazing guests and conversations that we hold in this space. 

I will just tell you, we have so many incredible guests and conversations already recorded, ready to go- I cannot wait to release them!! 

And so I'm already excited about coming back from the break and sharing all of this awesome content with you and just doing some housekeeping and housecleaning and redecorating in the process. 

But it's going to be expansive. I know that this is going to be restful for us all. And so I wanted to just share that with you and let you know how much I love you how much I appreciate you how, how grateful I am for you being a part of this community. Whether you are a longtime listener, whether you've just found this podcast and are saying hello for the first time and figuring out if you want to keep on hanging out or not. If you're somebody who pops in and out the house party. Wherever you stand in this community I see you. I am so grateful for you and whatever role you play here.

Quick note before we go into our Summer Break (how fun is that- it makes me feel like a kid!)- we are going to link everything in the show notes- all of the ways that you can stay in touch while we are on our little break. 

I will still be sending out a weekly newsletter that really loops you in on all of the community activities. So you can sign up for that to stay plugged in. 

I'll still be active on social media. Of course, taking inspired action there when it feels really good and aligned.

I don't want to paint the picture of our coaching relationship in a perfectionistic tone. This is very much always a work in progress. But man we make some magic when we work together!!!
