3 Power Tips To Stop Self-Sabotage
Self-sabotage. Imposter syndrome. Sitting in that icky victim mentality while you look around at everyone else's "easy" life.
I want to have some real talk about HOW to actually get out of these limiting mindsets.
I KNOW that you have all of these big goals and dreams for your life and feel like whenever you're stuck in this funk it feels like it's holding you back.
I caught myself in these mindsets a lot when I was struggling with binge eating- feeling alone, embarrassed, and stuck in the shame cycle that felt impossible to climb out of.
Whether it's food, your body, work, relationships, or something else these are 3 things that really helped me (and still do) to get out of the self-sabotage slump and feel more confident:
1. Reach out for Support. This is going to look different to everyone and will absolutely ebb and flow, but SOMEONE in your corner who you can share vulnerably. A therapist, coach, support group, friend, etc. A note on friends- I always recommend asking if you can open up before you just unload, to respect their personal time + energy.
2. Visualize your Confident Self. The woman that you're stepping into! How does she show up? What do you see yourself wearing? How are you working? Speaking? How do you want other people to look at you and feel just by being around you? Really have a crystal clear picture to help you step into that little by little.
3. Have 1 Confidence Hack. Something that works for YOU. And when you do this, connect it to the act of getting out of this self-sabotage space. Maybe it's a motivating podcast, taking a 5-minute walk, wearing your favorite shoes, or power pose.
Remember, the energy that you put out is the energy you get back.
Look, I know when you're in it...you're IN IT. If anyone gets that it's me. The highs can feel really high and the lows feel really freakin' LOW.
This is one of my favorite ways to support clients when they're in the process of learning how to become an Intuitive Eater.
If you're sick and tired of being on the struggle bus with food- like you know exactly what you should be eating and are maybe even the "healthy eater" around friends + family but can't figure out how to STOP eating or the "all or nothing" mindset...
Let's talk. You do NOT have to keep feeling controlled by food, uncomfortable in your body, or stuck in self-sabotage.
