My Food Freedom Journey...

After a tumultuous 10-year battle with bulimia, I finally hit my rock bottom. I knew that I couldn’t keep living my life feeling controlled by food and constantly shaming my body. But when I first started to get my food cravings and emotional eating under control, I felt completely defeated. I tried everything: eating 6 small meals a day, eating 3 meals a day, calorie counting, measuring out portions, restricting entire food groups...

And none of it worked.

After years of effort and failed attempts, I finally realized that what I needed was a cohesive plan that focused on MY body and needs… not random fads from people online who aren’t even certified. 

I knew I didn’t want to feel this way anymore.

I decided things had to change. That’s when I made my “No Plan B Commitment” to myself.

No more of the “all or nothing” mindset. Counting calories or points while I drifted off to sleep was not an option. Declining social invites so that I could spend my nights on the couch binge eating my favorite comfort foods was not an option. Feeling bloated from overeating whenever I traveled…or even a spontaneous weeknight. I was all in.

So, I stopped buying diet foods, binging/restricting and started focusing on my internal body chemistry, rather than a trendy diet- letting go of my “all or nothing” mindset, learning how to balance my blood sugar, and optimizing digestion so that I could get back my body confidence, without feeling handcuffed to my kitchen.

I implemented all of the principles I’ve been teaching you up until this point.

And I finally stopped obsessing over every meal, feeling constantly controlled by my food cravings and let my body move toward its natural weight and energy levels with ease. 

This was my turning point.

After this, I realized I HAD to help others do the same. So, I went through the long road but incredibly worthwhile process of becoming a Certified Holistic Health Coach and Yoga Teacher.

Q: Is this a group program?
A: Yes and no. You’ll receive access to each module and the opportunity to complete the program content at your own pace. The FB community and weekly coaching calls are in a group setting and are offered to each participant for extra support and accountability while going through all of the material. Participants will also receive 3 private coaching sessions with Katelyn to be used anytime within the 3 months.

Q: How long will it take me to go through the entire program?
A: The Modern Girl Method is a 12-week program. However, everyone’s journey is unique...some might take longer to complete + implement, depending on lifestyle etc. The information is delivered in a step-by-step formula to maximize results and available for you to come back to at any time, in case “life happens”.

Q: How much time per week do I need to set aside to complete the program?
A: The average lesson time within each module is around 1 hour. However, it’s up to you how active you’d like to be within the coaching calls, FB group and implementation of the information. Most Modern Girls who are successful dedicate about 1-3 hours spread out through the week as needed.

Q: I’m going to be out of town next month, will I fall too far behind? 
A: Not at all — this program was designed for girls on-the-go! You’ll be able to take the course material with you or pick up right where you left off upon return. All of the information is meant to help you experience results with a busy schedule.

Q: An area I struggle with is time management with food prep and all that. Is this something that you address in The Modern Girl Method? 
A: YES. This is actually the core of how I teach each member to build meals. Almost every single woman that I work with is either super busy with little time left to spend in the kitchen, they don't like to cook or a little bit of both. I really teach you how to create easy meals that can be repurposed. And honestly- one of the most challenging parts about cooking is feeling overwhelmed by "all the things". Because of this I really like to teach you how to "forget what you know/should be doing", stick to the basics and THEN build from there. I don't focus on strict meal plans or long Sunday preps...that makes me anxious just writing it.

Q: Is physical weight loss a major component of The Modern Girl Method?
A: The Modern Girl Method is intended to help each participant begin repairing their relationship with food and heal/understand your body from the inside out. When everything is working properly your body will arrive at its natural set point weight...for some clients that means releasing physical weight, but not everyone. It really depends on how YOUR body thrives. But if you're asking if this program is only focused on physical weight loss the answer is no. 

Q: How do I know if this program is right for me?
