How I Transformed My Sweet Tooth
Tonight I was chatting with one of my clients about sweets.
So my love for dessert runs deep…promise- it’s not all avocados and kale over here.
But my relationship with sugar transformed once I realized a couple things…
Most of my binges came from a place of restriction. Once I started realizing HOW my body needed to be nourished, it was crazy how less often I had these intense cravings of plowing through an entire bag of Reese’s Pieces.
I started really understanding my mind/body connection + how certain foods made me feel. When I finally got in the drivers seat of my food choices I felt less controlled by them.
This was the main shift. I have big dreams.
Dreams that require a lot of energy- mentally, physically, emotionally. Realizing that my sugar binges were a major roadblock to moving forward and creating a happy life was something that I hadn’t even considered.
But all of these changes didn’t happen overnight.
And Paul and I literally just ate a pint of Coconut Bliss ice cream this past Saturday.
But I choose my desserts a little more mindfully now and I enjoy the heck out of them ;)
