One of the healthy habits that I’ve been giving some attention to lately- chewing. Stay with me...
I might have a healthy meal in hand most of the time, but I KNOW it’s almost invaluable if I’m mindlessly scarfing it down...and to be honest- most of the time I do.
Chewing your food entirely is like giving your digestive track a hug.
It stimulates essential acids for breaking down food, absorbs vital nutrients and frees up more energy for your body to use in other places (think skin, hair & nails).
So I challenged myself to chew each bite of food 30-50x...
It’s been hard.
But totally worth it! This is definitely a habit that I’m keeping in my healthy toolkit.
Not only did chewing with such intention force me to stay present (hey Paul!….my hubby), by the time I got to 30 it felt like I’d experienced a completely different dish...so many flavors.
